But I don't do it along these lines. I read young adult books. I don't think there's anything morally or ethically wrong with that. In fact, I wholeheartedly agree with you when you say that people who work with young adults NEED to be reading those books. My judging comes when people pigeonhole themselves into one genre (young adult is not a genre) and don't ever step outside of that. And I can be equally guilty of that as anyone else. I think people should challenge themselves when they can. This argument is so silly. It presumes value of adult literature that I'm not sure is there. The logic is seriously lacking.
