About Ordinary Mer
Welcome to Ordinary Mer.
I’m Meredith, an ordinary 20-something on the brink of being a 30-something living in Boston. I read – a lot. I write. I ask a lot of questions. I don’t always get a lot of answers.
I’m a bookworm, an Amazon.com addict, an avid Red Sox fan and a chocoholic. I’m liberal – like, really really really liberal. I try to stay open-minded about people with opposing viewpoints, but I don’t always succeed. I’m perfectly imperfect.
I am a geek who loves Star Wars, musical theater, PBS, the Syfy channel, BBC America and fantasy novels. My idea of reality television is the Food Network. Number One on my bucket list (not to be confused with my 15 Before 30 list) is to attend Comic-Con San Diego at least once. I’m terrified of heights, needles, clowns and dentists. I have four parents, five siblings, three nephews, one niece and a partridge in a pear tree.*
If you want to know how this all started, travel back to my very first post, which I helpfully titled, “In the Beginning.” (Clever of me, huh?). I also write and maintain a book blog, The Librarian Next Door. You can check out what I’m currently reading over there. If you feel so inclined, come find me on Twitter.

* I’m just kidding about the partridge in a pear tree. I don’t have one of those. The rest is all true, though.
