Ok, Good Talk

This afternoon at work, for no apparent reason whatsoever, my computer shut down completely, taking with it a document I was working on. My “ahhhhh” moment prompted my co-worker to ask what was wrong.

“I think there’s a ghost in the office and he/she just turned off my computer,” I joked.

That off-the-cuff statement led to a half-hour discussion that started with ghosts and haunted buildings we remembered from our respective college campuses, segued into Jesuit priests and exorcisms, then moved into whether or not Hell exists and what happens to un-baptized babies and ended with memories of “bapatizing” our dolls during childhood.

I love my job.

(I think it’s also abundantly obvious that around 2:30pm on a Thursday afternoon, we both check out mentally.)
